Avec ses \u00e9blouissements et ses d\u00e9sillusions. D\u2019autres arrivent, comme la Biennale des Arts de la Sc\u00e8ne en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e qui ouvrira ses portes le 9 novembre prochain. <i>Yes Daddy<\/i>, programm\u00e9 sur les trois derniers jours d\u2019Avignon, n\u2019a pu b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier du bouche-\u00e0-oreille pour se faire conna\u00eetre et son succ\u00e8s aupr\u00e8s du public est rest\u00e9 quelque peu confidentiel.<\/p>\n<p>Pour tout dire, n\u2019avoir pas partag\u00e9 mon enthousiasme me chagrine depuis. Et je profite de sa venue prochaine \u00e0 Montpellier (d\u00e9cid\u00e9ment fort bien loti en mati\u00e8re de festivals) pour \u00e9crire ici tout le bien que j\u2019en pense.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Le titre, d\u2019abord, m\u2019avait intrigu\u00e9e, ainsi que le pays d\u2019origine du spectacle, la Palestine, ce pays meurtri et quasi exsangue o\u00f9 l\u2019on peine \u00e0 croire que des voix puissantes puissent encore s\u2019occuper \u00e0 cr\u00e9er du th\u00e9\u00e2tre. L\u2019argument, la rencontre entre un vieil homme qui perd la m\u00e9moire et un jeune escort, m\u2019avait sembl\u00e9, de ce fait, bien futile. Assez na\u00efvement, bien s\u00fbr.<\/p>\n<p>Bashar Murkus, l\u2019auteur metteur en sc\u00e8ne, et Khulood Basel, productrice et sc\u00e9nographe ne sont pas des inconnus. C\u2019est leur deuxi\u00e8me venue \u00e0 Avignon. Et les deux acteurs, Anan Abu Jabir, l\u2019\u00e9ph\u00e8be attendu, ainsi que Makram J. Khoury, un des plus grands com\u00e9diens du pays, valent \u00e0 eux seuls le d\u00e9placement, tans leur prestation, leur performance, \u00e9blouit. C\u2019est pourtant le sc\u00e9nario qui laisse des traces.<\/p>\n<p>Avec quelques mots d\u2019accueil fort bien tourn\u00e9s et tr\u00e8s dr\u00f4les, Anan Abu Jabir cr\u00e9e une connivence avec le public, annon\u00e7ant qu\u2019il ne faut rien croire de ce qu\u2019on verra, tant l\u2019intime cach\u00e9 dans le huis clos des appartements \u00e9chappe \u00e0 notre entendement. Puis il dispara\u00eet, laissant place \u00e0 l\u2019autre personnage, le vieil homme qui vit apparemment seul, sans autre lien avec le monde ext\u00e9rieur que cet escort qu\u2019il a contact\u00e9. Mais quand Amir frappe \u00e0 la porte, Daddy qui ne s\u2019appelle pas encore ainsi ne peut lui ouvrir\u00a0: il a perdu la cl\u00e9, ne sait plus o\u00f9 elle se trouve, tombe de sa chaise roulante, n\u2019arrive plus \u00e0 se relever. Furieux de perdre ainsi ce rendez-vous tarif\u00e9, Amir enfonce la porte. Et Daddy ne le reconna\u00eet pas. S\u2019enquiert. Et prend Amir pour son fils, Samer. Ce qui affole Amir. D\u00e8s lors, tout s\u2019encha\u00eene et se d\u00e9construit au fur et \u00e0 mesure. Car Daddy ne parvient pas non plus \u00e0 trouver l\u2019argent promis.<\/p>\n<p>De ces situations presque cocasses naissent bien d\u2019autres \u00e9nigmes. Qui m\u00e8ne la danse\u00a0? Qui est victime de l\u2019autre\u00a0? S\u2019agit-il toujours de relation tarif\u00e9e\u00a0? On n\u2019est pas loin des personnages de Beckett, de ces couples qui se ha\u00efssent, se disloquent, se recomposent autrement, comme Hamm l\u2019aveugle handicap\u00e9 et son esclave Clov. Qui est le ma\u00eetre, qui est le serviteur\u00a0? Qui d\u00e9tient les cl\u00e9s\u00a0? Le spectateur est attir\u00e9 dans une spirale virtuose o\u00f9 chaque sc\u00e8ne contredit la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. Car Amir semble se laisser tenter par le r\u00f4le qui lui est propos\u00e9, allant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 rev\u00eatir les habits de l\u2019\u00e9pouse d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e, attirer Daddy dans les bras et le plaquer contre son sein. Incroyable Pieta iconoclaste qui t\u00e9moigne de l\u2019insolence de l\u2019auteur. Et pourtant cette sc\u00e8ne-l\u00e0 comme beaucoup d\u2019autres nous touche au plus profond. Plus on s\u2019\u00e9loigne de nos rep\u00e8res logiques, plus l\u2019\u00e9motion sourd. Car, au fond, et c\u2019est sans doute l\u00e0 que l\u2019on rejoint la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 palestinienne, tous deux sont plong\u00e9s dans une solitude radicale, contraints d\u2019inventer des stratag\u00e8mes pour tenter de trouver un peu de chaleur humaine, f\u00fbt-elle illusoire\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Voici en un mot le spectacle qu\u2019il faut aller voir.
